- Take I-80 West
- To I-235 West exit (exit number 137A) on the left toward Des Moines
- Merge onto I-235 West
- Take the 42nd Street exit

From the West
- I-80 East
- Take the I-235 East exit (exit number 123A)

- Merge onto I-235 East

- Turn right onto 42nd Street going south
- Turn right onto Grand Avenue going west
- The entrance is at 45th Street and Grand Avenue
From Des Moines International Airport
- Exit the Airport turning left onto Fleur Drive, going north
- Take the Grand Avenue exit to the right just before you enter downtown
- Turn left onto Grand Avenue
- Follow Grand Avenue to the Art Center entrance at 45th Street and Grand Avenue
